Coaches Duties

The coach will have a level '0' certificate.  If (s)he does not have one, then the club will arrange for the coach to sit for the level '0'

The coach will attend any and all instructional classes run by the Club.

The coach shall dress in a way that reflects the position in the team.

The coach will instruct the team in all facets of the game.

The coach will train the team for a minimum of 1 hour per week.

The coach will run, before each game, a warm up session of half to one hour, depending on the age group.  7 & 8 - 30 min, 9 & 10 - 45 min, 12 and over - 1 hour.

The coach controls the team during the game.  (S)he will encourage the players all the time.  Negative comments are not allowed.

The coach determines the batting line up and will give a copy of that line up to the scorer 15 minutes before the game starts.

The coach will at the end of the season return the kit to the equipment officer at the time and place nominated by the equipment officer.

The coach will choose team members who at the end of the season are to be presented with trophies and other awards as requested by the committee.

Managers Duties

 

The manager shall be the contact between the team and the Club.

The manager or delegate will attend all Club meetings at 7.30 pm on the 1st Monday of the month at Catherine Fields.

The manager shall pass on all written and verbal information coming from the Club to the players and parents.

The manager shall pass on all written and verbal information coming from the players and parents to the Club.

The manager shall collect all outstanding fees and return them to the treasurer at the monthly meetings.

The manager shall assist the coach on game day, keeping control of the players while on the bench so the coach can perform their duties on the field.

The manager shall after the last game of the season, collect all uniforms and return them to the equipment officer at the appointed time and place.

Scorers Duties

 

The scorer will attend any scoring classes run by the Club.

The scorer will prior to the start of the game, get the batting line up from the coach and transcribe it into the scorebook.

The scorer will inform the opposition scorer of the batting line up.

The scorer will get the batting line up from the opposition scorer.

The scorer will keep an accurate record of the game in the scorebook provided.

The scorer or delegate will, by phone, notify the club registrar of the score, win, lose or draw for both home and away games.  This must be done prior to 4:00 pm of the Sunday following the game.

As the home team scorer, the scorer will fill in the results form and at the end of the game get the umpire and coaches to sign it.

As the home team scorer or delegate, the scorer will place the completed results form in the envelope provided and post to the registrar.
